From the Pastor.....

Our motto at the church this year is “I give you Jesus”. This is a great motto and it is my heart’s desire that each one of us will live it out this year in a very real and practical way. One of the greatest ways to do this is to minister in Jesus’ name to each other and to the people in our world around us. It’s important for the Kingdom for the Church to do this. The Scriptures say, “Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Galatians 6:10). A lot of times it is not as much about what we say about Jesus as what we do in His name that opens people’s hearts. Ministry opens doors to share the Good News to the lost and to show the love of God to each other. This is Kingdom living.

We have learned how everyone can do something for the Kingdom. Everyone is able to do something and remember God does not call us to do what we can’t do but what we can do. I know that many of you are already involved in doing the Kingdom work and God is pleased. I also know that there are others who want to be involved and are not sure what to do. Below is a list of ministries you can get involved in. Alongside each ministry you will find the name of the person to contact.  There are ministries listed we are currently involved in and also some in the beginning stages.  We would love for you to be apart in some way. I also want to say we are certainly open to looking at other potential ministries you might be interested in.

You may feel God leading you to serve in one of these areas and you may have questions about your gifts.  Click on the Spiritual Gift Inventory and discover your gift by answering the questions in the FREE spiritual gift analysis inventory and then press submit to find your areas of giftedness. After you completed the inventory please pray and ask God what He would have you do, then go to the Serve form, complete and submit. Someone will be in touch with you.

These are exciting times for SRBC and the Kingdom of God at our church.

May God bless you richly as you continue to serve Him.

In Christ,
Pastor Dale

There are times we need people to help our church members and shut-ins. If you have the desire to help and reach out to others see Pastor Dale for more information.

Home Fellowship Groups.  Home Fellowship groups are a great way to get to know others from church and most importantly, they are a great way to grow spiritually together. If you are interested in starting a group in your home, contact Frankie White. And, if you are interested in joining a small group and participating in what promises to be a great opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ also contact Frankie White.

Children’s Church – We need volunteers to help lead a strong children's worship service. It will serve the needs of parents and children. Parents benefit from having an uninterrupted period of worship. Children are able to have a time to worship with peers and be taught with a curriculum at their level of understanding. Contact Ethel McVickers if you are willing to serve.

Praise Team – Worshippers are invited to help the team lead in worship. If your music is all about giving glory to the Lord and you long for a place to use your gifts, then we would love to speak with you! See Orlando Jones if you are interested in serving.
